Patricia Leyva joined PHI CWN in 2022 as an Equity and Engagement Specialist. Before CWN, Patricia was a Human Resources (HR) Manager with the Paskenta Band of Nomlaki Indians and Rolling Hills Clinics. In that role, she was hired with the direction to strategically build and design the HR department from the ground up to prepare for organizational growth and expansion of services.
Patricia brings over nine years of administrative experience working with California Tribes, community clinics, and Native American Indian communities. She is passionate about serving, partnering with, and learning from diverse communities to drive toward goals that meet community needs. Her experience and knowledge will transition well to support community engagement efforts, programs, and PSE approaches, as well as CWN’s actions in the advancement of health equity and racial justice.
Patricia received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Business Administration at California State University, East Bay. During her free time, she loves to travel the world and has been to over 20 countries. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends and spending time at the beach.
