Lizania Romero serves as a Research Associate at the Public Health Institute’s Center for Wellness and Nutrition (PHI CWN), bringing her expertise to support various research and evaluation initiatives.

With a foundation rooted in data analysis and management from her role as a Data Analyst for the Niños Sanos project at the Townsend Lab, University of California, Davis, Lizania has demonstrated her commitment to enhancing health outcomes through rigorous research practices. Her experience includes recruitment, data collection, and comprehensive data management for multiple research endeavors.

Lizania’s passion for public health was ignited during her volunteer work at a rural community health clinic while studying Nutrition Science with a minor in Chicano Studies at the University of California, Davis. Witnessing firsthand the disparities in healthcare and nutrition access, particularly in rural settings, has driven her advocacy for health equity.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Science with a minor in Chicano Studies from the University of California, Davis.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lizania enjoys quality time with her family, nurturing her garden, experimenting with culinary creations, and exploring new artistic pursuits such as painting and woodworking.
