Amber Martin joined the Public Health Institute’s Center for Wellness and Nutrition (CWN) in 2019 as the Communications Project Manager. In this role, she oversees the implementation and operation of communications, outreach, and marketing-oriented projects and initiatives while also providing leadership and support expertise for internal and external clients and funders.
Ms. Martin has extensive experience in community engagement, media relations, content development, and market research. A results-oriented public relations professional, Ms. Martin is passionate about building, connecting, and empowering communities through compelling storytelling, innovative policy, and meaningful service.
Prior to joining CWN, Ms. Martin served in both the not-for-profit and for-profit sectors, building visibility, recognition, and a positive market presence for diverse demographics and messages through traditional and digital media. Her areas of expertise include key messaging/brand strategies, nonprofit sponsorship/support, and civic engagement.
Ms. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from San Jose State University. She is dedicated to uplifting the community and believes that through policy change and activism, equitable health outcomes are attainable for all. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the globe with her closest friends, binge-watching Netflix, and discovering new hiking trails.
