Betty Sun, MS, RD is a Project Manager at the Public Health Institute’s Center for Wellness and Nutrition (CWN). She works on projects related to nutrition security, access to healthy food, Produce Prescriptions, Park Prescriptions, park & public health collaborations, and geo-spatial mapping & analysis. In previous roles at CWN and the University of California Nutrition Policy Institute, she led state-level social marketing campaigns with the Children’s Power Play! Campaign and Worksite Program provided training and technical assistance to the Communities of Excellence in Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity Prevention program, and assisted local health departments with policy, systems, and environmental change evaluation as part of SNAP-Ed work with the California Department of Public Health. More recently, at the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy – Institute at the Golden Gate, she helped create the ParkRx.org resource hub and facilitated learning communities with the Healthy Parks, Healthy People: Bay Area collaborative. Betty holds BS and MS degrees in Community Nutrition from Cornell University and is a Registered Dietitian.
