Jeannette Hughes Spotville is a Project Manager at the Public Health Institute’s Center for Wellness and Nutrition. She brings over 15 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations in community building, coalition building, youth leadership development, alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs prevention education (community members, providers, youth, parents), and life skills training for youth (obesity prevention, nutrition education, college 101, budgeting, communication skills, dealing with anxiety/anger). Jeannette is passionate about equity and strives to make programs accessible and appropriate for all community members. She brings experience in program design/implementation, training and facilitation, and community partner relationship building.
Jeannette has a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Dillard University and a Master of Public Health from Claremont Graduate University/School of Community & Global Health. She is actively involved in her community as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Partnership for a Positive Pomona, and previously a board member for Ujima, Inc. She is an original native of Kansas City, Missouri – the home of BBQ and Blues, but currently resides in Rialto, California with her husband, where we are diehard football fans in a house divided, Chiefs vs. Raiders, and traveling with her family is her favorite activity.
