Strengthening statewide collaboration to advance nutrition security and healthy communities across Georgia
Facilitating Collaboration
The Georgia State Nutrition Action Council (SNAC) was formed in 2022 to facilitate interagency collaboration addressing food and nutrition issues across the state. The council brings together agencies and organizations working to improve food security, nutrition education, and access to healthy foods while identifying opportunities for coordinated action.
From FFY 2022–2023, PHI CWN partnered with the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) to support the early development of Georgia SNAC through meeting facilitation, partnership development, and strategic planning efforts. Through quarterly meetings and collaborative discussions, members explored opportunities to strengthen coordination, share resources, and address statewide nutrition challenges.
